Rocco DiSpirito’s “Now Eat This”


When I was Christmas shopping for the Boyfriend Chef I saw Rocco DiSpirito’s “Now Eat This” but was hesitant to buy it.  I already have so may cookbooks, some of them “diet,” and really how good can a 350 (or less) calorie serving be?

Fast forward three months.  We’re at a family gathering and I hear the BF Chef and my brother’s wife discussing something and Rocco’s name comes up.  I mention that I saw his cookbook but was hesitant to purchase it.  With that said, 2 days later the book shows up.  The BF Chef told me that Rocco was well respected before “The Restaurant” fiasco and he had confidence in the book.  (For the record I loved that show!)  Hence his surprise purchase.

I read the introduction to see where Rocco was coming from.  It sounded legit.  I flipped through the recipes and the preparation seemed simple enough for my skill level (ie, unpracticed).

Keep an eye out for updates as I try out recipes.  I’m trying to get into the habit of picture taking but apologize in advance for the lack of photos.
